Hellooo!

Amelia Blantern

I’m Amelia, a crochet-loving graphic designer who is excited to use my creative skillset for good.

I am currently in my second year at Arts University Bournemouth, studying Graphic Design. Recently, I designed and bound a 90-page book which documents a project where I imagined a future society without cows’ milk. The project enhanced my book design skills and I learnt about the importance of speculative design when designing for the future.

I am curious about analogue design mediums, where human interaction design thrives. I am also proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and recently After Effects. I currently freelance for a small sewing business designing branding and packaging which has given me experience with brand identity and client communication.

I understand the importance of storytelling in design and am meticulous in my process from the get-go. As designers, I believe we must use our skills to help design for change and I would love the opportunity to share my dedication with projects that do just that. On a smaller scale, I currently volunteer as a litter picker which allows me to make a positive difference to the environment in my local area.

I am keen to gain more experience in an agency environment with an internship over the summer. I’m looking forward to immersing myself in the culture, collaborating and taking on new opportunities.

I love what I do, please get in touch!

Maybe we can crochet together…

Testimonial

"Amelia created the graphics for my new brand ‘Sew Cool at Home’. Working from a brief, she designed graphics for packaging, stickers, thank you cards and a set of instructions. Amelia is able to work to tight deadlines and can turn around new ideas quickly. Her fantastic communication skills were a major contribution to the success of this design project."
